How To Submit Sr Ad Content

1. Begin by looking at the samples above and senior ads from prior yearbooks if you have access. That will help you gauge how many photos and how much text can fit in the ad size you have chosen.

2.  Identify the high resolution jpg images you wish to include in your ad, and write your message text. Keep the length of your message text appropriate for the size ad you puchased, and remember the more text you have, the less room there is for images.

3. Email your message text to jsilverman@srvusd.net and include your student's name and ad size.

4. Go to www.hjeshare.com and enter DVHS's school code of 12540, after which it will let you submit up to 10 jpg images at a time.  However, remember to only submit the images you want to appear in the ad, and only the appropriate number of images that will fit in the size ad you purchased.

5. When finished, you will be emailed a proof of the ad for your review and approval.

Senior Ad Pointers

1. Print resolution is roughly four times screen resolution, so if your image looks "blurry" on the screen, it will look more "blurry" when printed. Always submit the original highest resolution image you have available to you.

2. Please submit images in jpg, png, or tiff format. If your images are in another format, please email Jeff Silverman for instructions.

3. If you have printed photographs you should scan them at 300 dpi. If you do not have a scanner, please email Jeff Silverman to set up a time to come in to school to scan your images.

4. Senior ads are formatted to be consistent with the styles of each year's yearbook. Names and fonts and design elements are meant to be consistent throughout the senior ad section, and to be consistent with the rest of the book.

5. Submitting your ad content promptly helps to insure the yearbook is finished on time. Thank you!
